Hi! I've been involved in education as a class teacher at Primary, Secondary, Further Education and Higher Education levels since 1982. As a music specialist this constantly integrated the use of Music tech which evolved into my specialised interest in tech integration, particularly over the last 20 years. Sleuth IT was born out of that interest, responding to teachers who loved tech but were very aware of the challenge of engaging students, particularly boys, with literacy work - especially text! If you have time, do take a look at our showreel, 'Have you got 60 seconds?' (Anyone can spare 60 seconds!)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DfC3qC4Xmk

which captures some of the imagery from our games and join this session to find out more about how we use the games to engage with literacy work.

Sleuth IT adventure games are a 100% cross platform series of interactive whodunnits for the classroom which place students at the heart of the action. As each story your unfolds they must turn detective, sifting through evidence, analysing witness interviews, exploring locations and cracking codes in order to gather all the information needed to solve the mystery. A key part is the wealth of resources that accompany each game. In this session I will be demonstrating this, sharing some links to the games for you to try and some links to some resources which are 1 Free 2 Useful and 3 Cross platform!!
