Get Started with Making: Using Scrappy Circuits
Sometimes it can seem as though STEM requires a long list of materials and expensive add ons. This hands on session will show you how to dive into making and creating with materials found around the house or the local dollar store.

Want to play along? Check the list here: 10 or 11 binder clips, 1 LED tealight, cardboard, 2 paper clips, aluminum foil, glue and a marker.

Let's get scrappy!

The investigation process is a vital component to History instruction. Using Google Slides, you will learn how you can create an engaging and effective activity for your students. Amp Up Student Engagement and AccountabilityUsing Desmos (With a Focus On Non-Math Subjects)
Desmos (free) is not just for math teachers anymore! In this session you'll learn how to use Desmos activities in order to create and deliver engaging lessons that allow you to see students' comprehension level on a keystroke-by-keystroke basis. I will create a Desmos activity (lesson) in real-time and you will then have the opportunity to complete the activity as if you were a student.

Since founding the Desmos for Language Teachers Facebook Group (1,300+ members) and the Desmos for Social Studies Educators Facebook group (50+ members), I have lead numerous online Desmos trainings and informational sessions for teachers from a variety of disciplines.  I look forward to continuing to learn with you all!
